The field of medical analytics at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Jagiellonian University Medical College is a modern course that prepares one to work as a laboratory diagnostician in a multidisciplinary medical team. The medical analytics study course includes 10 semesters. The sequential curriculum provides the development of knowledge and skills in 7 major groups, including (A) biological and medical sciences, (B) chemical sciences and elements of statistics, and (C) behavioral and social sciences, mainly implemented during the first and second years of studies, and in groups including (D) clinical sciences and legal and organizational aspects of laboratory medicine, (E) scientific aspects of laboratory medicine, (F) practical aspects of laboratory medicine and (G) research methodology, the implementation of which begins from the second year of studies. The study program also includes mandatory internships (H) carried out in medical diagnostic laboratories. A master's degree in medical analytics from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Jagiellonian University MC is the basis for applying for a license to practice as a laboratory diagnostician.

Completion of the programme requires passing all courses listed in the study plan, including compulsory (O) and elective (F) courses, as well as preparing and defending the thesis and passing the Master’s examination. A minimum of 60 ECTS credits is required for passing a year of study. Courses marked OR must be completed within the given year of study, while courses marked OS must be completed during the course of studies as specified in the study plan. Repeating the first year of study is not permitted. Additional requirements for year completion are defined in the Study Regulations.
