The sequential training program ensures the development of knowledge and skills in 5 main groups of learning outcomes covering (A) biomedical basics of pharmacy (B) physicochemical basics of pharmacy (C) humanistic and social basics of pharmacy (D) analysis, synthesis and technology of drugs (E) biopharmacy and drugs effects (F) pharmaceutical practice (G) methodology of scientific research. The study program also includes a mandatory internships carried out in pharmacies. A Master of Pharmacy degree obtained from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Jagiellonian University Medical College serves as the basis for applying for the right to practice as a pharmacist and acts as a gateway to further stages of an academic career, enabling participation in doctoral programs worldwide.
Completion of the programme requires passing all courses listed in the study plan, including compulsory (O) and elective (F) courses, as well as preparing and defending the thesis and passing the Master’s examination. A minimum of 60 ECTS credits is required for passing a year of study.
