Programme
Draft of the study programme for the 2026/2027 cycle.
Education in cosmetology provides students with general knowledge of the accepted field of science, as well as advanced knowledge of cosmetics and substances used in the manufacture of cosmetics, the technology of cosmetic products, their metabolism and effects, and their proper use. The graduate demonstrates knowledge of methods and techniques for evaluating the quality of raw materials of cosmetic and medicinal preparations. Graduates of this course are prepared to plan and carry out a cosmetic procedure and apply a cosmetic agent according to the diagnosis; taking into account the indications and contraindications; read the composition of a cosmetic and determine its application; cooperate closely with a dermatologist in the care of affected skin and within the scope of ordered treatments. A cosmetology graduate has the ability to interact in the process of cosmetics registration, cooperate with companies producing cosmetic preparations, lead teams of cosmetologists and supervise the course of applying cosmetics and cosmetic techniques.
Completion of the programme requires passing all courses listed in the study plan, including compulsory (O) and elective (F) courses, as well as preparing and defending the thesis and passing the Master’s examination. A minimum of 60 ECTS credits is required for passing a year of study. Courses marked OR must be completed within the given year of study, while courses marked OS must be completed during the course of studies as specified in the study plan. Repeating the first year of study is not permitted. Additional requirements for year completion are defined in the Study Regulations.
