The field of medical analytics at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Jagiellonian University Medical College is a modern course that prepares one to work as a laboratory diagnostician in a multidisciplinary medical team. The educational program in the field of medical analytics combines modern knowledge in the area of medical and pharmaceutical sciences and is carried out by excellently educated and prepared scientific and didactic staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University MC. The primary goal of education is to prepare laboratory diagnostic specialists who will influence the development of modern diagnostics in the future. The high level of education is ensured through the use of modern didactic methods and cooperation with laboratory diagnosticians  and the local branch of the National Chamber of Laboratory Diagnosticians. Training is provided in part by teaching staff with many years of practical experience in laboratory diagnostics. The medical analytics study course includes 10 semesters. The sequential curriculum provides the development of knowledge and skills in 7 major groups, including (A) biological and medical sciences, (B) chemical sciences and elements of statistics, and (C) behavioral and social sciences, mainly implemented during the first and second years of studies, and in groups including (D) clinical sciences and legal and organizational aspects of laboratory medicine, (E) scientific aspects of laboratory medicine, (F) practical aspects of laboratory medicine and (G) research methodology, the implementation of which begins from the second year of studies. The study program also includes mandatory internships (H) carried out in medical diagnostic laboratories. A master's degree in medical analytics from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Jagiellonian University MC is the basis for applying for a license to practice as a laboratory diagnostician.
