The field of pharmacy includes 11 semesters carried out over a period of 5.5 years. The sequential training program ensures the development of knowledge and skills in 5 main groups of learning outcomes covering (A) biomedical and humanistic and (B) physical and chemical foundations of pharmacy implemented during the first and second years of studies, and covering knowledge and skills related to (C) analysis, synthesis, drug form technology; (D) biopharmaceutics and drug effects, as well as (E) pharmaceutical practice and (F) research methodology, the implementation of which begins from the third year of studies. The study program also includes a mandatory summer internship and a six-month internship carried out in pharmacies. A Master of Pharmacy degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Jagiellonian University Medical College is the basis for applying for the right to practice as a pharmacist.
