Opis programu i efekty uczenia się

Celem studiów jest zapoznanie z wiedzą z zakresu suplementów diety i żywności wzbogaconej, w kontekście skuteczności i bezpieczeństwa ich stosowania.

W trakcie studiów uczestnicy zapoznają się z podstawowymi definicjami (suplement diety, żywność wzbogacona, żywność funkcjonalna, nutraceutyki itp.), regulacjami prawnymi rejestracji i wprowadzania do obrotu omawianych produktów, procedurami kontroli jakości i sposobami jej weryfikacji, wskazaniami do stosowania suplementów diety i żywności wzbogaconej w różnych schorzeniach oraz ich skuteczności; bezpieczeństwem stosowania omawianych produktów, działaniami ubocznych czy interakcji z lekami.
