Program studiów obejmuje wiedzę z różnych dyscyplin naukowych, w tym nauk o zdrowiu, nauk biologicznych i medycznych, z wiedzą z dziedziny zarządzania, ekonomii, prawa, nauk o polityce i administracji oraz psychologii.  Celem programu studiów jest przygotowanie absolwenta do pracy na samodzielnych stanowiskach w programach ochrony zdrowia, promocji zdrowia, profilaktyki, a także na stanowiskach kierowniczych w instytucjach systemu ochrony zdrowia, w tym inspekcji sanitarnej oraz jednostkach świadczących usługi zdrowotne. Program studiów realizowany jest w części także przez studentów uczestniczących w europejskim programie Europubhealth plus w ramach konsorcjum ośmiu europejskich uczelni: EHESP School of Public Health, Francja, University of Sheffield’s School of Health and Related Research, Wielka Brytania, University of Granada – Andalusian School of Public Health, Hiszpania, University of Rennes 1, Francja, Maastricht University, Holandia, University College School of Public Health, Dublin, Irlandia, University of Liège, Belgia oraz Uniwersytet Jagielloński. 

Absolwent  studiów uzyskuje tytuł magistra.
